Shadows of Twilight: an Elrond fansite

WELCOME

Welcome to Shadows of Twilight, a fan-site for Elrond Halfelven, Lord of Rivendell. There aren't many sites devoted to Elrond on the net, hence this shrine to a character I find increasingly fascinating. Elrond is a key figure in The Silmarillion, The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings, but much of his own story remains untold, or is glimpsed only in fragments. Here you can find information on Elrond from Tolkien's books, as well as the recent movies. Visit the movies section for screencap galleries and soundfiles. You can also find a secion containing information and more images relating to Hugo Weaving, the actor behind Elrond in the films. If you are looking for Elrond-related wallpaper or other downloads, visit the 'downloads' section.

I have a new guestbook, so please sign :) I also worked out why the slider puzzles had stopped working (my hotlink protection was being over-enthusiastic), and hopefully those should all be working again now. I also updated the Hugo Weaving news page.

My guestbook vanished, as Bravenet kindly decided to lose my account :| I intended to add a dreambook, as I have on my other sites, but I'm currently unable to log into my account there as well... they seem to be switching servers, so I'll give them a day or two before I look for something else. Hopefully a new guestbook soon...

Shadows of Twilight is celebrating it's second anniversary today! :) Thank you to all my visitors who have helped to keep the site alive. I have finished converting it to xhtml, but please let me know if something doesn't work correctly for you. I've also tidied a few things around the site, and started work on a new section on 'The Halfelven'. I've moved all the info on Elrond's heritage to this section, and added a new page on the races of Elves and Men. Some of the existing info might get reorganised a little as I add more to this section. There is also a new photo manipulation featuring Arwen, Aragorn and Eldarion, which I created for challenge at Heril Êlgalad.

edit: I received two lovely gifts from Isi and Pennsuleien.
